Jason & Carl Hames, Owners

Carl Hames began his landscape maintenance career at the age of 14, when he was asked by a local Realtor to take care of one of his apartment complexes.  While his friends were working late nights in fast food restaurants, the idea of working after school in the sunshine and fresh air (and having his evenings free) sounded like a fine idea to him.  The rest is history.

He took Ornamental Horticulture, Landscaping Design, Forestry and Agronomy classes in high school and junior college, and found he loved the Green Industry. After completing high school and getting married at the age of 18, he began his own Landscape Maintenance business in his hometown of Hanford, Ca.  Within a year their first child was born, a daughter (Melanie), and a year later Jason arrived.  It didn't take long for Jason to bug his dad about going to work for him, and at the age of nine Jason began tagging along with his dad on work projects.  Carl was amazed at Jason's work ethic.  By the time Jason was 11-years old he was outworking and outperforming grown men who worked for the company.  Jason maintains that work ethic to this day.

After moving their family to Oregon in 1996, Carl was offered a job working for McNary Golf Club.  As a life long golfer who loved the sport, Carl thought it was a perfect fit. He

passed his Oregon State Pesticide Licensing requirements and was named Pesticide Technician for McNary, where he worked for two years, then was offered a job working for one of the finest Golf Course Superintendents in the country, Mark Shepherd, at Aspen Lakes Golf Course in Sisters, OR.  Under Mark's tutelage, Carl was given an incredible education in agronomy and turf management, and he was able to work at one of the most stunning (and difficult) courses in the country.

In 2006, the Hames's decided to move to North Texas, and Carl was offered a job as Pesticide Technician at the TPC Four Season's Las Colinas course, home of the PGA's Byron Nelson Championship. After a brief stint there, Jason decided it was time to re-form their partnership and run their own landscape maintenance business, and Perfect Green Landscapes was born.

Carl and Diane Hames have been married since 1979 and have four children and five grand children.  Jason is Married to his wife Kendra, and are the proud parent's of their two children Caleb, and Taylor.
